New film fund with renowned industry trio chases double-digit annual return rates
Scandinavian Film Funds aims to enable investors to gain exposure to Nordic movies. Behind the project is a trio of experienced people from the industry, including a two times Academy Award winner. The ambition is to ensure double-digit annual return rates.
Two years ago, KLP Kapitalforvaltning accounted for 4 percent of inflows to Norwegian retail funds. Now, its share is 17.6 percent. "It's been a dramatic change," says CEO Håvard Gulbrandsen, who thinks sustainable funds, low prices and new dynamics in the Norwegian retail market are responsible.
