Argentum report: Nordic buyouts broke all records in H1

A new report from Norwegian asset manager Argentum shows that the first half of 2018 heralded new record levels in the Nordic buyout scene.

Joachim Høegh-Krohn, CEO at Argentum believes the entire 2018 will be a record year for Nordic buy outs and fund raising.

It may be ten years since the financial crisis -- with bank collapses and government intervention in financial markets -- but there are still repercussions.

One of the consequences of the crisis has been years of low-to-negative interest rates, forcing investors to search far and wide for a decent return. Some of the money has shifted from public markets to private ones, boosting the number of buyout deals, fund raising and investments into venture capital.
