Ny milliardfond til life science med støtte fra Vækstfonden ser dagens lys

Den franske venturekapitalfond Sofinnova Partners lancerer ny, milliardstor fond med fokus på life science. Vækstfonden er blandt støtterne, og det skal bane vejen for flere investeringer i danske virksomheder og hjælpe dem frem til børsnotering, lyder det.

Life science-industrien i både USA og Europa er hastigt voksende, og den trend får nu solidt rygstød fra venturekapitalfonden Sofinnova Partners, der således har annonceret oprettelsen af en ny fond med fokus på såvel farma-, som medico- og biotekindustrien.

Det nye initiativ kaldet Sofinnova Crossover 1 vil tilbyde senfase-finansiering til lovende og håbefulde life science-selskaber i mestendels Europa, men også i USA.
