Aktia to categorize funds as Article 8 to "be on the safe side"

Aktia will start by defining its funds as Article 8 to see how the market will work before launching them as Article 9 products, says Aktia's Director of Sustainability Markus Lindqvist.

Finland's Aktia Asset Management is looking into gradually building and launching Article 9 products to respond to growing investor need for sustainable investment vehicles, says company's Director of Sustainability Markus Lindqvist.

"We have some product solutions that we feel may qualify as Article 9. But we need to be on the safe side, and therefore want to start the process by defining these first as Article 8 funds, just to see how the market will work, and only then launch them as Article 9 products," Lindqvist says to AMWatch.
