AP4 becomes anchor investor in new Swedish mortgage bond fund

The buffer fund has committed an undisclosed sum to Hypoteket's new residential mortgage fund, which has an investment grade rating.

Swedish mortgage lender Hypoteket has launched a new mortgage fund with national pension fund AP4 as an anchor investor.

The fund has an investment grade rating (Baa2 at Moody's) and is now open to new external investors "who see the benefit of picking illiquidity premium from Swedish residential mortgages", Hypoteket says in a company statement.
