Nordic Alpha Partners: Private equity funds play a huge role in the green transition

During the first three quarters of this year, Danish private equity funds have acquired more green companies than they did in the whole of 2020. An increased focus from the private market funds will be crucial to the green transition, says a partner at Nordic Alpha Partners.

There is a lot of focus on the green transition at Danish private equity funds, lobbying organization Aktive Ejere (Active Owners) writes in its latest activity report, which was published on Tuesday.

The report also states that private market funds have already purchased more companies with environmentally-focused products and services this year than they did in the entirety of 2020, as ten companies have been acquired so far in 2021, compared to nine last year.
