Folksam becomes anchor investor in an emerging markets climate strategy

Swedish life insurance giant Folksam Group has become an anchor investor in a public-private partnership launched by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Allianz Global Investors.

The Emerging Market Climate Action strategy (EMCA) launched yesterday at COP26 summit in Glasgow aims to mobilize substantial amounts of private capital to get climate action projects off the ground in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Folksam's commitment to the strategy totals EUR 150m.
