Private equity funds lead returns at Finnish pensions company

The performance of private equity funds has remained particularly strong this year, says Elo's CIO and Deputy CEO Hanna Hiidenpalo.

Finland's Elo pension insurance company pulled in a return of 9.4 percent for its portfolio of EUR 28.3bn over the first three quarters of 2021, the company reports.

Investments in private equity funds pulled in the highest returns during the first three quarters, 30.7 percent, followed by direct equity investments in unlisted companies (16.6 percent) and listed equities with 14.1 percent.
