Former Sampension fixed income chief rejoins Danske Bank after two-year career break

The former head of fixed income and TAA at Sampension reflects on his break from the rat race to focus on his family and pursue his interests. He has now returned to work, taking on an ESG position at a changed Danske Bank.

Kasper Ullegård doesn't deal in half measures. This approach is evident in both his professional and parental roles. Those don't always go together, however, and almost two years ago, Ullegård felt the consequences of the mismatch.

He left his job as head of fixed income and tactical asset allocation at Sampension – a solid position he had been happy to have – waving goodbye a career at its peak.
