Danish pension firm for academics raises green investment ambitions

Climate-friendly investments will be a bigger part of Akademikerpension's portfolio by 2030 than the company previously declared.

Until now, Akademikerpension aimed for 12 percent of its portfolio to be invested in climate-friendly assets in 2030. However, the pension company has now revealed on its website that this goal has been raised to 22.5 percent.

An intermediate goal is 15.3 percent green investments by 2025. If and when Akademikerpension meets its 22.5 percent goal in 2030, this will equate to DKK 50bn (EUR 6.7bn) in investments.
