Nordic asset management heavyweight Javiera Ragnartz moved towards a career in academia before quitting her Ph.D. program to work in finance. The best part about her role as the head of SEB's Investment Management is working strategically, she tells AMWatch.

Which career path did you imagine for yourself when you were younger?

"It depends on how far back you go. When I was a child, I imagined a lot of different careers; I thought of everything from being a teacher to working with designer clothes.
