Former Sparinvest value veterans reunite with colleague to form Great Dane trio

The value duo Jens Moestrup Rasmussen and Kasper Billy Jacobsen are returning to portfolio management after more than a year on the sidelines. They are now ready to launch a new fund alongside a former colleague, and have international ambitions.

In 2020, portfolio managers Kasper Billy Jacobsen and Jens Moestrup Rasmussen left Sparinvest, where they had headed up the value team since 2001.

Little had been heard of the pair since, but the highly experienced duo that spent combined 39 years at Sparinvest's value team will now become co-owners and portfolio managers at fund advisory Great Dane, which was founded in 2014 by their former Sparinvest team member Thomas Bastrup, and manages DKK 187m.
