Dark green fund flooded by capital, forced to reject 2,400 potential clients

A dark green fund used by thousands of Danes has closed its doors to new subscriptions. The fund has more capital than it can feasibly invest without relaxing its environmental requirements.

Around 2,400 Danes have been rejected from a sustainable investment fund offered by niche bank Merkur Andelskasse and offered to AP Pension's clients, as the fund has become so popular it has closed for new investments.

The fund has simply more money than it can invest if it is to retain its high environmental standards and generate a reasonable return for investors.
