New partnership agreement brings PensionDanmark closer to arms industry

While the pensions sector as a whole is distancing itself from the arms industry, PensionDanmark has ties to UK-based company Babcock International, which works with the production of nuclear weapons.

Through a new partnership agreement with Odense Maritime Technology (OMT), Danish business media InsideBusiness reports that PensionDanmark has brought itself closer to a controversial industry which is excluded from many portfolios – the arms industry.

OMT has sold a frigate design to the British navy, working alongside Babcock International, a company that is blacklisted by a number of pension companies due to its role in the production of nuclear weapons.
