Morningstar: Nordea, Swedbank and Handelsbanken top SFDR-ranking

Three of the top 5 asset managers, when measured by volume of Article 8 and Article 9 fund assets in Europe, are Nordic banks.

More than a third (34 percent) of all EU fund assets today are placed within funds classified as Article 8 or 9 under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosures Regulation, commonly known as SFDR, according to a new report by Morningstar.

The investment consultancy has collected SFDR data from asset managers and found that the asset management unit of the largest Nordic banks hold a relatively large chunk of the assets invested in Article 8 or 9 funds.
