Chicago-based asset management firm V-Square Quantitative Management (VSQM) has hired Erik Norland as its head of distribution. Norland joins the company from Northern Trust, where has worked since 2010 in several roles including head of Nordic region at the firm's asset management division.
In his new role at VSQM, Norland will lead the quant manager's sales, consultant relationship and client service functions across the institutional, insurance and wholesale, based in Stockholm. He will report to Mamadou-Abou Sarr, co-founder and President, who founded the asset manager in 2020 and shares Norland's past at Northern Trust Asset Management, where he was responsible for ESG and sustainable investing between 2014 and 2020.
