Varma's EUR 4.8bn real estate portfolio gets new director

Finnish pensions giant Varma has appointed Sampsa Ratia as its new director for real estate investments. Ratia joins the company in mid-August, after the summer holidays.

Finnish pensions giant Varma has found a replacement for its head of real estate Ilkka Tomperi, who announced in May that he is leaving the company after eight years. 

Sampsa Ratia has been appointed director in charge of real estate investments at Varma, which are worth approximately EUR 4.8bn. Ratia joins the company in mid-August, after the summer holidays.
