Danish insurer reveals green investment goals

The insurance company wants to contribute to climate mitigation efforts through four goals for its portfolio, which it hopes to attain by 2030.

Member-owned insurance company LB Forsikring has EUR 1.1bn (DKK 8bn) in investments and is now setting goals to help it live up to the Paris Agreement, a press release states.

Its ambitions are based on four milestones which the company hopes to achieve by 2030. By that time, 20 percent of investments must be sustainable or impact investments, 40 percent must be ESG investments, fossil fuel investments must be phased out, and the company's carbon footprint must be reduced by 40 percent.
