CEO and Partner had to look hard for female colleagues – now wants others to speak up

Women should dare to speak up and men should dare to take on new perspectives, says CEO at brokerage company Caba, Mette Østerbye Vejen.

When Swedish cosmetics company Oriflame became listed in 2004, Mette Østerbye Vejen attended an investor meeting.

At the time, she was a portfolio manager, and when she looked around the room, she could not see a single other person who might use Oriflame's products. Everyone else in the room, and Oriflame's entire executive team, were men.
