LGIM: Many ESG indices are destined to fail

The number of ESG indices is growing rapidly but many of them are destined to end up in a graveyard of unsuccessful products.

The number of ESG indices has grown beyond 30,000, according to UK asset manager Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and The Index Association.

This development shows no signs of slowing down – quite the opposite.
