Thematic funds grow, but long-term returns fall through the cracks

In 2020, more investments were made in thematic equity funds than in the previous nine years put together, Morningstar reports, warning that investors might miss out on big returns.

Record amounts are flowing into thematic investment funds, Danish financial daily Børsen reports based on a Morningstar survey.

Between 2010 and 2019, EUR 104bn (DKK 772 bn) was invested in thematic funds, and the figure was EUR 169bn (DKK 1259bn) for the last year alone.
