Investments in passive funds reach USD 15,000bn globally

Investments in ETFs and index funds reached USD 15,000bn last year. Total investments in ETFs are close to overtaking those in traditional index funds.

In 2020, global investments in ETFs and index funds totaled USD 15,000bn, the Financial Times reports.

The figures show that the total AUM invested in ETFs is close to overtaking the AUM invested in traditional index funds for the first time.
