Ruling on Danish asset managers' return-based fees stranded in limbo

There is still uncertainty regarding the fee models of several Danish investment companies. European financial authority ESMA and the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) are passing the case round like a hot potato.

The new guidelines for returns-based fees created by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) may force a number of Danish investment managers to change their business models.
