Argentum: Record level of foreign investors in Nordic private equity

Nordic buyout funds raised a record sum in 2020 despite the pandemic, private equity fund selector Argentum's annual state of Nordic PE report shows. The number of non-Nordic investors is at an all-time high, which makes perfectly good sense, CEO Joachim Høegh-Krohn explains to AMWatch.

Every year, Norwegian private equity fund investor Argentum investigates the current state of play in the private equity space in an annual report titled State of Nordic Private Equity.

In an interview, Argentum CEO Joachim Høegh-Krohn describes the current environment as quite healthy despite the ongoing pandemic, pointing to the fact that funds in the Nordic buyout segment raised EUR 26bn in 2020 – a new record for a single year.
