Nordea's Stratega funds criticized for high fees and failure to beat benchmark

Nordea's Stratega funds manage SEK 110bn and bring in SEK 1.5bn in fees each year. At the same time, the multi-asset fund-of-funds have consistently failed to beat the benchmark.

Nordea's multi-asset fund-of-funds under the Stratega banner are more expensive than the average fund in the same category and have failed to beat their benchmark over the last 10 years.

An analysis from Swedish public service broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) shows that four of the most equity-weighted Stratega funds bring in SEK 171.000 SEK every hour. This equals SEK 1.5bn from fees per year, according to SVT.
