Finnish fund management hits record in operating profits

Aggregate figures of fund management companies show that alternative funds were a particularly successful sales product in 2020. Their combined commission income grew by more than 40 percent per year, and operating profit by as much as 50 percent.

Finnish fund management and asset management companies made a record total operating profit of EUR 429m in 2020, reveals data collected by daily Kauppalehti and verified by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (Fiva).

The total result of the sector improved by 7.5 percent after two weaker years.
