Post-pandemic healthcare trends will turn, says SEB's new biotech portfolio lead

Two of SEB's healthcare funds will switch from a quant to a fundamental approach as the funds have been left behind by their benchmarks. The strategy revamp aims to better utilize investment opportunities in the sector.

Some of the prevailing trends in healthcare and biotech funds during Covid-19 pandemic will reverse as the economy opens up post-pandemic, says Angelica Fatouros, portfolio manager of healthcare and biotechnology funds at SEB Investment Management.

In general, healthcare sector has been less impacted by the pandemic than many other businesses, Fatouros tells AMWatch in a written comment.
