Nordea AM CEO: Italian and Spanish investors bolster near-record quarterly inflow

In 2021, Nordea Asset Management wants to deepen its presence in Europe and continue to build its capabilities in Germany and the UK, CEO of Nordea Asset Management says to AMWatch.

In 2020 Nordea Asset Management (NAM)'s business increased particularly in Southern Europe, says NAM CEO Nils Bolmstrand. The company now envisions expanding especially its range of ESG products, the chief exec adds.

"We've seen strong developments both in the Nordics but also in southern Europe in Italy and Spain with very strong inflows. To give an example, in the fourth quarter net flows of EUR 2bn came from Italy. There we deal with mainly affluent and private banking investors investing through their bank," Bolmstrand says to AMWatch.
