Top 10: Nordic equity funds with highest inflow and outflow in 2020

Handelsbanken's green transition fund saw a regular asset boom in 2020 while Norwegian managers' multi-factor funds saw assets nosedive, according to fund flow estimates provided by Morningstar.

In 2020, open-end equity mutual funds domiciled in the Nordic region saw assets spike by roughly EUR 8.8bn, according to data compiled by Morningstar on AMWatch's request. This represents a significant increase from 2019 where the figure was around EUR 3.2bn.

The green transition fund by Handelsbanken Hålbar Energi by far had the highest inflow in 2020 at fund level. New inflow amounted to almost EUR 2bn. This follows the global trend where investors poured money into mutual funds, ETFs and other investment vehicles that promote the green transition.
