The largest asset manager in the Nordics, Nordea Asset Management, has launched the Global Social Empowerment Strategy, co-managed by one of the firm's most popular portfolio managers. AMWatch asks Nordea's Head of Fundamental Equities Hilde Jenssen five central questions about the new fund launch.

Last week, Nordea Asset Management (NAM) launched the Global Social Empowerment Strategy. The equity fund, managed by Thomas Sørensen and Olutayo Osunkunle, aims to invest in companies that provide solutions to the social aspect of ESG while at the same time generating sustainable shareholder value.

Social issues include access to health care, education and affordable housing, to name a few investable themes. According to a press statement by NAM, the S in ESG "has often been overlooked in the last few years", but forms the basis of the giant investment manger's claim? AMWatch went to Hilde Jenssen, NAM head of fundamental equities, for answers.
