Lannebo eyes better 2021 for European equities as risk horizon starts to clear

Even though 2020 may seem like a great year for Nordic stock markets, it has been a difficult year for European equities in a broader sense. Now, however, the outlook for 2021 looks rather promising, since three main risk factors are likely to be taken out of the equation, says Carsten Dehn, portfolio manager at Lannebo Fonder.

The three main risk factors which have overcast the European equity markets in 2020 will have gone away by next year. This markedly changes the outlook for European equities, thinks Carsten Dehn, portfolio manager at Lannebo Europe Small Cap.

"Being based in the Nordics, 2020 is starting to look like a really great year in the stock market, but Europe is still down around 2 percent on an absolute level with Spain, the UK, and France still significantly down on YTD basis," Dehn said in a recent webinar.
