Pension fund's new head of RI has seen sustainability's many shades

Career path: With an education in Forest Economics and an international career at the UN, Karoliina Lindroos – Ilmarinen's new Head of Responsible Investments – comes with a different background than many asset management employees. In spite of this, Lindroos does not see her move to Ilmarinen as a giant leap.

Which career path did you imagine for yourself when you were younger? 

"When I was younger, I was interested in the natural sciences, like biology and oceanography but I was also interested in economics. I found a way to combine these two subjects, when I studied forest economics and environmental economics.
