Carn Capital hires ESG profile from the Oil Fund

The Oslo-based investment company has hired NBIM's head of ESG Risk Monitoring as part of its investment team.

Oslo-based investment organization Carn Capital has poached Melanie Brooks from Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) in its investment team. Brooks, who is currently head of ESG Risk Monitoring at NBIM, will join the company in September. She has worked at NBIM since 2015 in Oslo and New York, initially as senior analyst, and since January 2019 in her present role.

Prior to joining NBIM, Brooks led the efforts with responsible investment at Folketrygdfondet in Oslo, during which time she also helped start the Norwegian Forum for Responsible and Sustainable Investments (Norsif). She entered the field of sustainable finance in 2009 at Société Générale in Paris.
