Nykredit cuts positions after Sparinvest merger - chief strategist leaves

Chief Strategist David Bakkegaard Karsbøl has been fired as part of Sparinvest's merger with Nykredit, he writes on Linkedin. A number of other positions have also been eliminated.

After seven years at Sparinvest, Chief Strategist David Bakkegaard Karsbøl has been let go. His position, as well as "a number of others", has been eliminated as a result of the merger with Nykredit, which bought 75 percent of the asset manager in 2019.

Bakkegaard Karsbøl announced the news himself on Linkedin, writing that he was let go on Thursday and that he will now consider what the future holds. As well as his time at Sparinvest and Nykredit, the chief strategist has previously worked at Saxo Bank.
