PFA follows Nordic peers and pledges carbon-free future

Denmark's largest commercial pension fund has signed up to the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance. The 2019 initiative aims for zero carbon emissions from investments and had Nordic investors including Alecta, AMF Pension, Folksam, Nordea Life and Pension, Storebrand and Pensiondanmark among its founders.

Denmark's largest commercial pension company, PFA, has signed up to an initiative supported by the UN to reduce the carbon emissions of its investment portfolio to zero by 2050.

The initiative is called the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance and has 24 large investors as members, including Alecta, AMF Pension, Folksam, Nordea Life and Pension, Storebrand and Pensiondanmark among its founders. Combined, the investors manage around EUR 4,370 billion (DKK 32,600 billion).
