Bankinvest CEO: Clients prefer index funds to bots

Getting customers interested in bots offering passive investment solutions is still an uphill battle two years after the first efforts were made - and this includes Bankinvest's bot Darwin. Bankinvest launched a passive equity fund last year which now manages more in assets than all Danish investment bots combined.

It is now two years since Bankinvest sent Darwin, its expensive investment bot, onto the market. But while billions surged into Bankinvest in 2019, things are evolving more slowly for Darwin.

"So far, clients just don't like bots. We need to acknowledge that. But that might come later," says Bankinvest CEO Lars Bo Bertram.
