Coronavirus hits Norwegian mutual funds

The CEO of Norway’s Fund and Asset Management Association (VFF) is confident that with time, markets will recover just like they did after previous crises. The drop in inflows in Norway follows the trend in other Nordic countries.

Norwegian mutual funds experienced record high redemption rates in March, with outflows totaling EUR 5.58 billion (NOK 63 billion) following the developments in Denmark, Finland and Sweden.

According to the statistics generated by Norway’s Fund and Asset Management Association (VFF) total assets in Norwegian mutual funds fell by some 11 percent to EUR 103.66 billion (NOK 1.169 billion) over the course of the month.
