Independent asset manager posts record result and dividend

Denmark-based BLS Capital, which manages a number of mutual funds with Danish and global equities, achieved its best ever result last year - almost EUR 13.4 million (DKK 100 million) more than in 2018. The asset manager has also distributed its largest ever dividend of over EUR 17.4 million (DKK 130 million).

As a result of the rally in global equity market last year, independent Danish asset manager BLS Capital achieved the best result in its 12-year lifetime. The profit after tax reached EUR 19 million (DKK 143 million), compared to EUR 5.9 million (DKK 44 million) in 2018.

BLS Capital is a licensed broker fund and was founded in 2008 by three well-known Danish share experts - Peter Bundgaard, Anders Lund and Erik Simoni, whose surnames inspired the name of BLS. Erik Simoni has since left the company, while the two other founders are still part of the investment team at BLS Capital, which employs 17 people.
