Insurer builds stake in Columbia Threadneedle's European social bond strategy: Investment duo notes growing interest in social investments

LB Forsikring has invested in the US-based asset manager's European social bond fund as the strategy nears its three-year track record. More investors are looking into social bond strategies, as they want to add more social criteria to their portfolios, says Columbia Threadneedle Head of Nordics and social bond fund manager.

Danish insurer LB Forsikring has invested in Columbia Threadneedle's European Social Bond strategy.

LB Forsikring selected the portfolio because it offered a unique solution, targeting tangible social outcomes alongside the financial return which the market has been lacking, LB Forsikring CIO Soli Preuthun tells AMWatch.
