Nordic Cross: “We don’t believe in TINA – we are the alternative”

In Stockholm, a young but experienced hedge fund asset management company doesn’t believe in the  the so-called TINA market (There Is No Alternative). The growth ambitions are large, and the appetite for volatility pockets is yet to be satisfied.

“The immediate future of active managers is in the illiquid space. The growth will take place in the absolute return alternative and in private equity. The whole TINA market is nonsense – we are the alternative,” founding partner of Nordic Cross Asset Management, Joakim Stenberg laughs as he looks around a totally bare office, containing  only a few black leather chairs and empty desks. The term TINA refers to investors have no other alternative than buying more equities in search for returns.
