Nordic Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking at BNP Paribas believes in strong stock market in 2020

Negativity about the markets came with a high price in 2019, warns the executive.

The upside in stock markets will continue in 2020 if major geopolitical or economic shocks can be avoided, says Eirik Winter, Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, Nordic Region at BNP Paribas to Realtid.

Participating in a panel of four investment experts, Winter notes he does not believe there will be a "dramatic slowdown" of the economy. "The British election result is positive for the markets despite what one thinks about Brexit. Trump's deal with China is seen as a positive [development] and he will win the elections again," Winter lists.
