This is how Nuveen's Head of Continental Europe built his Copenhagen-based advisory team

Diversity and trust have been the key ingredients for Nuveen's Per Frederiksen in establishing his Copenhagen-based advisory team that will soon host eight people in total.

In the fall of 2019, US-based asset manager Nuveen opened a hub in Copenhagen for its advisory service activities across the Nordic and Benelux regions, as institutional investors in these areas are known to share similar characteristics.

Heading up the operation is Per Frederiksen, who has hired six advisors since 2017 to help him grow the asset management arm of the retirement plan provider for US teachers, TIAA.
