EU lands deal on green standards for financial products

After tough negotiations, a deal has been reached about how to define a green financial product in the EU. The deal also includes bond issuers.

A legislative proposal about how to determine whether bonds are green has been being discussed for 18 months in Brussels, but on Thursday last week, the broad strokes of the proposal fell into place.
