Global financial firm follows in the footsteps of Nordic pension funds

AXA pledges to double green investments by 2023 and becomes member of Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance which has several Nordic investors onboard.

French insurer and asset manager AXA has pledged to double its green investment objective to reach EUR 24bn by 2023 as part of entering the next phase in its climate change strategy, the company writes in a press statement.

As part of the strategy, AXA plans to divest completely from companies with coal-based business models by 2030 in the OECD and EU countries, then in the rest of the world by 2040, the company states.
