Öhman Fonder urges fund selectors to emphasize on asset managers' corporate culture to understand the bigger picture

An asset manager's corporate culture tells a lot more about its adoption of sustainability norms than written statement on its website, according to Öhman Fonder's Head of Responsible Investment.

Öhman Fonder Head of Responsible Investment Fredric Nyström is convinced that the outside world will demand more from asset managers in the future in terms of responsibility and not least corporate governance.

His opinion is based on financial companies’ situation after failing to comply with current laws and regulation. "We have already seen some of the major bank-owned asset managers lose clients following cases of money laundering and tax evasion," he says to AMWatch.
