ESG teams continue hiring spree: "We look for people with a non-financial degree"

BANK-OWNED ASSET MANAGERS' ESG ASPIRATIONS: AMWatch compares the ten largest Nordic asset managers' ESG teams. While units continue to grow, and some expect even more staffers, according to several companies, an asset managers' ESG capabilities is not determined by the number of ESG analysts.

Comparing the largest Nordic asset managers’ ESG teams is not an easy task. Some teams work closely with group CSR, some asset managers have several portfolio managers in the investment teams focusing on ESG.

Moreover, several asset managers offer funds with an externally managed investment strategy. However, in most of these cases, the ESG analysis is conducted by a local manager.
