East Capital has strengthened its teams in Stockholm, Dubai and Hong Kong with several new appointments. In Stockholm, Jakob Wikander has joined as Portfolio Manager responsible for East Capital Multi-Strategy Fund.
Wikander joins East Capital from the asset management unit of Bank of Åland, where he worked as a Portfolio Manager and Analyst with a focus on global interest rates and European equities. He has previously worked for East Capital as a Portfolio Analyst from 2009–2015.
Michał Czerwiński has joined East Capital in Stockholm as an Analyst. Czerwiński is responsible for research coverage of Central and Eastern Europe supporting Portfolio Advisors Tim Umberger and Eglé Fredriksson. Czerwiński has previous experience in stock analysis from positions at brokers Santander Brokerage Poland and Trigon.
At East Capital's Dubai office, Sanat Sachar has joined the company as an Analyst. Sachar will assist Portfolio Adviser Emre Akcakmak, providing research coverage for Global Frontier Markets. He joins East Capital from AL Mal Capital where he covered the Middle Eastern market.
Moreover, East Capital will soon announce an imminent hire within its Asia team, based in Hong Kong, as Francois Perrin has been appointed Head of Asia. Perrin will continue to lead the company's investment and research activities in Greater China and contribute to the sustainable investment framework.
