Nasdaq Copenhagen's green bond segment takes off with Nykredit issuance targeting broad investor base

Large institutions’ growing appetite for green bonds will continue to drive the market in Copenhagen and across the Nordics.

Last Wednesday, a group of 50 people met at Nasdaq Copenhagen for the countdown to the first issuance on its green bond segment.

The issuer Nykredit, one of Europe's largest mortgage lenders, issued a bond in SEK to accommodate investor preferences. "It's a natural starting point as there's a strong market standard, which is something investors appreciate," Nykredit Group Managing Director Anders Jensen explains. "We have always wanted a broad range of investors."
