Blackstone to take over Danish partner in billion dollar acquisition

A real estate portfolio of nearly DKK 10bn is about to change hands: Blackstone acquires their Danish partner, 360 North, a company that has attracted massive negative publicity. In a long-term perspective, the company could potentially become listed, a top executive at Blackstone tells EjendomsWatch.

The American real estate investor and provider of equity funds, Blackstone, acquires their Danish business partner 360 North, achieving full ownership of their billion dollar portfolio in Denmark, which so far has been driven in a collaboration between 360 North and its figurehead, Nils Jansson.

Head of Blackstone Real Estate Europe, James Seppala, reveals to EjendomsWatch, that the intention is to continue the current strategy of 360 North, focusing on acquisition and refurbishment of housing estates and contribute to relieving the housing shortages in the Copenhagen region.
