Schroders in talks with Nordic managers for hedge fund platform

The London-based asset manager held its Liquid Alternatives Roadshow in the Nordics last week. There's a vocal demand – and a business opportunity – for managers developing long-short strategies with an integrated ESG overlay.

Bearing the title Head of Liquid Alternatives at Schroders, Andrew Dreaneen is responsible for selecting fund managers for the UK-based asset manager's GAIA platform.

Established in 2009, the GAIA platform is a universe of UCITS* hedge fund strategies of which some are managed internally, while other strategies are managed by external managers. In this role, Dreaneen oversees USD 20bn of assets across 34 strategies managed on behalf of private banks, family offices and pension funds, to name a few types of clients
